2 - Luminaire spec and visual check

Check the luminaire specification:

  1. Unified Glare Rate UGR = 25
  2. Light Uniformity Uo = 0.4
  3. Color Rendering Ra = 80

Glare

When the unified glare rating (UGR) of the luminaires is > 25 (maximum) occupants experience the lighting as uncomfortable blinding you. This can cause an accident!!

Light uniformity

When the uniformity (Uo) is < 0.4 (minimum) occupants experience a lot of shadows and contrasts in the space. Dark and bright surfaces alternate, creating uncomfortable feeling in the car park.
