  • Color rendering, expressed as a rating from 0 to 100 on the Color Rendering Index (CRI), describes how a light source makes the color of an object appear to human eyes and how well subtle variations in color shades are revealed.
  • Ra can be found in the specifications of the luminaire. The higher the number the less color distortion.

All Philips LED luminaires have a CRI of > 80.

Good color rendering Ra > 80

Poor color rendering Ra < 80

We don’t measure Ra on site but we can observe and experience it:

Look at the skin of your hands.How do they look? Natural, or brownish? Yellowish? How do you perceive the colors around you?
